Description
A beautiful medium pile rug made by the Beni Ouarain tribes of Morocco in the 1990s. It is made using soft natural undyed wool with the addition of subtle shades of olive green and gold in the lozenge design. This rug would provide warmth and be an attractive feature in any room of your home.
Loving this unusual Beni rug, especially due to the fact that it is not the classic design but has subtle colour as well as the lozenge shapes and the soft wool for which the Beni Ouarain tribe are renowned. Gorgeous!"

About Beni Ouarain rugs
The Beni Ouarain tribes produce very easily identifiable rugs using undyed soft natural wool with a medium to thick pile. The classic 'Beni' boasts a beautiful ivory background colour that is adorned with geometrical diamond patterns in black or brown. It is warm, sumptuous and durable, each one the result of several months of work by a Berber woman from the Middle Atlas region to the east of Fez, Morocco. Beni Ouarain rugs have largely maintained their original patterns and colour over the years, although some vintage designs show slight variation in this. Beni Ouarain rugs have become very popular in Europe in recent years due to their simplicity and adaptability to interiors of modern or traditional design.
