A fabulous rare intricately handwoven colourful rug made by the Zaer tribe who inhabit the region south-east of Rabat, circa 1970. Traditional Berber tribal patterns appear in regular and irregular box shapes, interspersed with a saw tooth design, also featuring a floral pattern on one edge and a saw tooth border. This rug is unusual in that it is almost square in shape. A beautiful addition to any home, traditional or modern.
Please note, several tassels are missing from this rug due to natural wear and tear over the years.
