A beautiful recently made wool rug from the Azilal region of Morocco. The field of the rug is in natural creamy wool, the patterning in vibrant complementary shades of blues, greens, orange and red. As is common with many rugs from the Azilal region, the knots of wool are woven at intervals and are allowed to lie flat, creating a nap which lies in one direction. This is a very attractive rug, perfect as a central feature in a more contemporary home, where no doubt it will be a conversation piece.
