A handwoven length of kilim material which was most likely destined to become a cushion but was never sewn up. It was lovingly made by a woman from the Zemmour tribe in Morocco, maybe for use in the weaver’s home or to be made into a tent cushion for a nomadic family.
It features a colourful geometric tribal design and has been dry cleaned and is ready for use. As this piece of material has not already been made into a cushion, it is versatile and can be used as either a wall hanging, a runner or as the cushion it was most likely destined to become. A lovely piece of authentic Berber tribal art to add to your home.
All our cushions are vintage and not new. They may, therefore, exhibit signs of wear such as having sequins or fringing missing in places or showing slight colour run due to being washed previously in a traditional way. These features speak of the nature of a unique handwoven item made for and used in a family home and, as such, only add to their appeal. We have chosen not to restore any of our cushion covers for this reason. They have all been cleaned prior to selling.
